Data radio TiMo III
The radio modem
TiMo III has been developed especially for fast narrow band data communication in industrial environment, where as well data safety and transmission rates, as fast send and receive switching are important. When large distances are required, even in environmental conditions with interferences, it is recommendable to use a small band concept.

Radio units
To cover a vast range of applications, the radio unit is available in 3 versions:
- 10 mW output power at very low power consumption with a public concession in the frequencies between 433,075 - 434,750 MHz. This version is appropriate for distances up to 5 km outside, with data rates of up to 19200 baud.
- 500 mW output power at frequencies between 400 MHz and 470 MHz at transmission rates up to 19200 Baud and distances up to about 10 km.
- 6 W output power for distances up to bis 50 km, 9600 Bd in the 12,5 kHz raster at frequecies between 400 - 470 MHz, as well as 19200 Bd in the 25 kHz raster
This three options base on the same concept and guarantee identical quality and characteristics, except different transmission power. A sophisticated modem technique offers a maximum utilization of the media radio for data transmission.
Protocols and Transmission
TiMo III supports different protocols as well for protected as for unprotected transmission. Addressed and transparent protocols can be easily choosen. For example IEC EN60870-5 FT 1.2 is being supported. In this way it is easy to connect for ex. a SPS from
Siemens,
SAT or
Moeller.
Besides we can easily adapt customer specific protocols to the radio modem.
Routing
Especially to be mentionned is the ability of the radio modem for Routing, that means messages for stations, that cannot be reached directly for radio technical reasons can be routed by other existing stations in reachable distance. Therefore
TiMo III is qualified to construct radio networks.
In this way also an effective operation of the radio network is possible, as only the stations are used which are really necessary.
For construction and configuration and vigilance the
TiMo control station offers a powerful software.
With help of the control station autorouting is possible. That means, if a radio connection fails, this is being recognized automatically and the data is re-routed corresponding to the network topology.
Measurement Display
The Radio Modem TiMo III is capable to measure the levels with absolut exactness (referred to the centerfrequency of the band) that means

+/-1dB and to indicate it in dBm on the LCD. First the field strength is indicated as a bar, in the line below you can see the actual value and the maximum value (max. hold). On the Display
-749 is equivalent to
-74.9 dBm.
So
TiMo III can be used for the construction of radio networks, because the complete measuring functionality is already contained in the device. As competent partner for

In case you have special requirements or wishes for your data transmission, we are able to realise them fast and at a reasonable price. Adaptations to the software can be easily made , as hardware and firmware have been developed on our own.
